QUICK ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

What the difference between Enterprise and Basic?

Enterprise solutions come with a managed CPE device by default, while with Standard tunnels the device is an add-on.   Enterprise solutions are also a turn-key L2 transport for simplicity, while Standard solutions are L3 tunnels and will require additional configuration by the user.

Is there a term commitment?

Basic is month-to-month.  Enterprise has a minimum 12 month agreement.

Can I pay via a purchase order or for a full year in advance?

Yes!  Connect with us and we can fine tune the payment terms for you.

Do you have bulk or wholesale options?
How are these solutions supported?

Enterprise comes with commercial support included!

Standard services require termination on customer devices that Core Transit does not have access to configure.  For this reason, support is limited to just our side of the connection.  Standard service assumes the end user has hands-on routing experience, configuring tunnels, static routing, and troubleshooting of these services.

Will this work on a Laptop instead of a router?

Only in limited examples.  Our service is network centric meaning its geared toward router based connection termination.  Typically, we issue a /31 address block which is designed for a point to point network.  Windows and Mac do not support this.  Similarly, when using L2TP it is unencrypted which many systems do not support either.  However, if you do need to have static IP terminate directly to a client operating system you can order a Wire Guard tunnel with a /30 addon and this will work.  Please open a case right after ordering to indicated this is the configuration.

Is this an anonymizer VPN?

No.  Core Transit is a service provider network.  We monitor it for stability, performance and abuse.  We discorage this type of use and some of the typical anonymizer VPN use cases are against our AUP
